Privacy Policy
Effective 8 June 2026 · Last updated 8 June 2026
Agent Readiness helps Australian businesses understand how AI agents and assistants see their websites. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why, and how we look after it.
We've written this policy to align with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We operate as if the Act's small-business exemption does not apply to us.
1. Who we are
"Agent Readiness", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the Agent Readiness business, based in Australia. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at [email protected].
2. What we collect
Information you give us
When you contact us — by email, through a form on this site, or by booking a call — we collect what you choose to share: typically your name, email address, business or website, and the content of your message. We only ask for what we need to respond and to provide our services.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical information when you visit — including your IP address, browser type and user-agent, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site.
AI-agent traffic analytics
This is core to what we do, so we want to be plain about it. This website runs our own agent-analytics logger — the same kind of measurement we build for clients. It records requests made to the site (with a focus on automated AI-agent and crawler traffic such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and similar) and stores the following for each request:
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| User-agent | The raw user-agent string, used to identify the agent or crawler |
| URL & method | The page or endpoint requested and the HTTP method (e.g. GET) |
| Status & timing | The HTTP status code and server response time |
| Referrer | The referring URL, where one is provided |
| Hashed IP | A one-way hashed form of the IP address — we do not store raw IP addresses in this dataset |
| Country | An approximate country derived from IP geolocation |
This logger is built to measure agent and crawler activity, not to identify or profile individual human visitors. It does not collect personal data belonging to any AI agent's end users, and it does not use tracking cookies or browser fingerprinting.
Cookies
We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site. We may use a small number of essential cookies needed for the website to function. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for (such as an audit).
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve this website.
- To measure and research how AI agents interact with websites — including our own.
- To send you information you've requested or that's directly relevant to a service we're providing. We don't send unsolicited marketing, and any commercial email includes a way to opt out.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We don't sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us run the business — for example, our website hosting and infrastructure provider, and our email provider — and only so they can perform those services for us. We may also disclose information where required by law.
5. Where your information is stored
Some of our providers may store or process data on servers outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with this policy and the APPs.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and customer information for as long as we need it to provide our services and to meet legal or record-keeping obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. Agent-traffic logs (described above) are retained in hashed and aggregated form for up to 12 months, then deleted or aggregated further.
7. How we protect it
We take reasonable measures to protect information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access — including hashing IP addresses in our analytics dataset and limiting who can access stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices over time.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to access the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it if it's inaccurate. Just email [email protected] and we'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
9. Children's privacy
This website and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International visitors
If you visit from outside Australia — including the EU/UK — we aim to handle your information in line with applicable data-protection laws such as the GDPR. You may have additional rights under those laws; contact us and we'll do our best to honour them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
